September Wrap Up/October TBR

Hello everyone! Another month has gone and we're getting closer and closer to the end of the year - which I honestly can't believe! September has been the best reading month I've had in a looooong time. I managed to read 15 books and 2 novellas! I'm also in the middle of a couple of books that I've had to put down for the time being because I'm not in the mood for them, but hopefully I can finish them this month.
September was also a really great month book wise. There was really only one book I read that I hated. I had one stand out favourite this month and that book was The Jewel by Amy Ewing. I haven't really been in the mood for dystopians for months, but The Jewel brought the love back.

October TBR
So for October, I'm not setting myself a specific TBR list. I have 7 review books that I definitely need to get read this month.
There are a few new releases this month like: The Blood of Olympus; Stone Cold Touch; All Broke Down; Echoes of Scotland Street & Rowdy, that will be taking priority because I've been waiting for them for so long. Brittany and I will probably read a lot of the new releases together (or within days of each other), but since it's Hallowe'en this month, we've decided to go with some creepy reads. The books we're choosing from are: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom RiggsSay Her Name by James Dawson; The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman; The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey & Asylum by Madeleine Roux. I'm also planning to re-read The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin in preparation for the final book finally being released next month!
But other than those I'm just going to read whatever I feel like this month!

What was the best book you read in September, and what October release are you most looking forward to?

  2. Wow! What a month September was for you! Reading in September was a bit of a dud for me--nothing really stood out except Snow Like Ashes, which technically is an October baby but I got a bit ahead of myself and read it earlier :b My October so busy so unfortunately I won't have time for a Mara reread which sucks. Fortunately I kind of did one earlier this year and I'm so glad that it will finally be hear! I hope October treats you well and happy reading! x

  3. 2014 is flying by, I also can't believe we are already in October.. You had a great reading month, 15 books is awesome. Funny to see you loved The jewel so much, it's one of the worst books I've read this year, haha, but I can see the appeal. STITCHING SNOW! I want to read that book so badly and I need to pick up Snow like ashes soon. Happy reading :D

  5. Wow 15! September was abysmal for me :( 2 books, barely. It was sad.
I hope to fix that in October. You have a good TBR! I should really check those out myself.
