A catastrophic plan crash leaves one survivor: a girl with no memory.

Who is she?

Where does she come from?

Nobody knows and no one comes forward to claim her.

Haunted by a looming threat she can't remember and plagued by abilities she doesn't understand, she struggles to recall who she is. But every clue leads to more questions. And she's running out of time to answer them.

Her only hope is a boy who claims they were once in love.

Alone and on the run, who should she trust? And what if she discovers that she is safer with a past that stays unremembered?

I'd seen this book around a lot before I bought it and I was dying to get my hands on it because the synopsis just sounds awesome. I really enjoyed this book! It was packed full of action and questions I was dying to find out the answers to!

So our main character 'Violet' (Not her real name, but I'm not going to use her real name in the review) is found in the middle of a plane crash in the ocean and she's the only survivor. 'Violet' has no idea who she is or how the hell she survived the plane crash. But there is a mystery surrounding her. No one can find any traces of her or any evidence that she was actually on the plane.

I loved 'Violet'. I found her hilarious even though most of the time she wasn't meaning to be funny. She had no memories and was pretty much clueless when it came to most stuff but give her a maths problem and she'd be able to solve it no problem, no matter how hard it is. She was extremely intelligent - like super smart! - and incredibly strong.

Zen - or Lyzender - is our main male character and also 'Violets' love interest (even though she doesn't remember him). I liked Zen from the first time he appears in the book even though he's only there very briefly. But from that point I knew that he was definitely going to be one of the good guys and I was hoping to see more of him. He's so in love with 'Violet' that it's actually heartbreaking because she has no idea who he is. He's so desperate and determined to get her back.

So like I said, there were a hell of a lot of questions that needed to be answered in this book, like: Who is 'Violet'?; Where did she come from?; Why does she have no memories?; Why are there people after her?
And all of these questions are answered towards the end of the book. I liked the suspense and the discovery of the answers. I really enjoyed the way that was all done.

There was a bit of action in this book with the people who were after 'Violet'. The romance wasn't a major part of this book mainly because 'Violet' didn't remember Zen but there were a few scenes of them together and you could see their relationship developing and I really enjoyed it.

The ending was amazing and it's just made me more excited to get my hands on the next book when it comes out!

  1. This one is already on my TBR pile, like you the synopsis really pulled me in. I'm glad you enjoyed Unremembered! I think it will be an interesting but frustrating read since there are so many questions that need to be answered.

    1. It wasn't actually frustrating. The unanswered questions were the main reason I was hooked. I was desperate to discover what the answers were and I enjoyed the build up to them. :)
