Showcase Sunday #96

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. This meme allows book bloggers to show off the books they collected over the last week!

Hello everyone! It's been forever since I've done a Showcase Sunday post! I was considering backtracking and filling this with all the books I've gotten from the end of February, but I've forgotten what most of them were... Oh well! This weeks has been super busy. I've been working a lot, going to the cinema with my fiancé and also meeting up with a friend from work for dinner and a movie. I saw The Duff - which I loved - and John Wick - which was good, but got a bit boring towards the end. And next week I can't plan anything because I've been called for Jury Duty for the first time. I'm so not looking forward to it.

So bookwise, I have 3 physical books that I bought from Waterstones, The Works and WHSmith; 1 book from Netgalley and a few books from Edelweiss.

Bought
physical
A Darker Shade of Magic (A Darker Shade of Magic #1) by V. E. Schwab
ADSOM was a book I'd been seeing everywhere, so I just had to buy it. I've already read it and I loved it!
After (After #1) by Anna Todd
Honestly, I can't even tell you why I bought this. I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate it, but it was everywhere and I was curious.
Breathe (Sea Breeze #1) by Abbi Glines
Breathe was an impulse buy. I was feeling a bit crap one day and picked this up to cheer myself up.

Netgalley
Rogue (Talon #2) by Julie Kagawa
Thanks to MIRA Ink!

Edelweiss
The Edge of Forever by Melissa E. Hurst
The Unquiet by Mikaela Everett
What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler
Cut Both Ways by Carrie Mesrobian
Dreamland by Robert L. Anderson
Walk on Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy #1) by Rae Carson
Truest by Jackie Lea Sommers
What's Broken Between Us by Alexis Bass
Thanks to Sky Pony Press, Greenwillow Books, Katherine Tegen Books, Harper Teen and Harper Collins!

What books did you get this week?

  2. Lovely haul!!! I'm jealous... :P A Darker Shade of Magic I have been looking forward to for who knows how long. I really need to read more by Julie Kagawa. And Dreamland especially looks intriguing. Ah! And I've heard a lot about After...and since you've already decided you will probably hate it, I don't mind saying that it's mostly been negative. I'm almost tempted to read it myself, just because it is indeed everywhere. xD

    Enjoy your books!

  4. ADSOM is a very very good buy. I fell in love with the creativity and characters! The girl rocks :D Walk on earth a stranger looks great and I can't wait to read anything else by Carson after my love for Girl of fire and thorns.

    Happy reading!

  5. The Edelweiss books look so good! I don't think I've seen any of them but I'll definitely check out What We Saw and Cut Both Ways. :) I hope you manage to get some well-deserved rest this weekend! x
