August Wrap Up/September TBR

August Wrap Up
Wow is this year going by fast! I can't believe it's the 1st of September tomorrow! And in 4 months, it'll be 2014... Yeah, this year has just flown by.

I had a pretty good reading month in August. I managed to read 26 books, and most of them were books I gave 5 stars to. So not only did I read a lot of books, I read a lot of fantastic books in August.

I really struggled to pick a favourite book this month. I read so many great ones, and there were 3 I just couldn't choose between: Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas; If I Die by Rachel Vincent & Origin by Jennifer L Armentrout.
I loved all of these books for different reasons and I just couldn't pick between the 3 of them.

September TBR
So for September, I'm not going to set myself a massive amount of books to read because I'm planning on getting around to reading some review books (but they all depend on what kind of mood I'm in). Plus, I may borrow books from the library/buy books that I want to read asap, so I'm just going to set myself 10 books and after that I can read whatever I want.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite book of August was and what you're planning to read in September!

  1. OMG WOW! That is absolutely amazing! I only read 6 books this month. It's okay though because I'm still really proud of myself. All the books you've read this month are books I either loved or really want to read as well. Hope you enjoy September! I'm not sure what I'm planning to read yet though. I used to do TBRs as well but lately, I've just been going with the flow.

    1. 6 books is still really good! I'm only managing to read so many books right now because I'm off for summer. So as soon as I get back to uni/start working, I doubt I'll be getting through as many books. So I'm just making the most of my free time :)
I usually manage to stick to TBRs if I keep the pile small so that I can still pick up some other books.

    1. I like to at least set myself some goals so that I can try to work through my TBR shelves (because they're so full!). It helps me :)
Ooh, I've been wanting to start the One Universe series for a while now! And Deception looks fantastic too!
Yay for Crown of Midnight! :D

  5. We have such a similar taste in books! I read Cinder & Pivot Point this month too and loved them both. I'm hoping to read Origin next month. Insatiable was a pretty interesting book. Awesome job this month!! Good luck in September.

    1. I've noticed that too!
I thought they were both brilliant! I enjoyed Pivot Point more than Cinder though, but I liked them both :) I'm excited to read their sequels!
Origin was fantastic! I hope you do read it next month! I can't wait to see what you think :)
I'm really looking forward to Insatiable. The synopsis sounds interesting.
      Thanks Janie!

  6. 26 books! Damn, girlfriend. That's impressive. I love it when I have a streak of good books. I really liked Pivot Point and My Life Next Door. I just finished listening to Perks of Being a Wallflower. I loved it. I really need to read Cinder and City of Bones still. Hope you love Sept books just as much!

    1. I loved them both so much! Both of them made me cry, but If I Die had me in tears for most of the book. I can't believe I read 26 either! I'm trying to make the most of it over summer since I know I won't have a lot of time to read soon.
6 books is still fantastic! :D
      Thanks Sally!
