So today I spent most of the day at the beach with my boyfriend attempting to get a tan (which was useless because I just burnt). But it was so nice that I hardly managed to get any reading done! I'm definitely going to make up for it tomorrow though.

Mini Challenge - Better Read than Dead
You're in a bookstore and you've just purchased 5 books you've been dying to read, when the apocalypse hits. (Zombie, Demons, Vampires, Dean Winchester vs. Sam Winchester (yes, I'm watching Supernatural reruns) I don't care what apocalypse). You've got one chance at survival, what 2 books do you take and what 3 other items do you take?
Only two?! OK, well I'd take The 5th Wave because I could use some of Cassie's tips to survive & I'd also take Anna and the French kiss so that I had something cute and sweet to escape too.
As for the other items, I'd take:
1. A Wilderness Survival Kit (like one of those Bear Grylls ones)

2. A gun (just in case there's any weirdos)
3. Water (I'm sure I'd be able to scrounge up food on the way, but there's no guarantee there'll be any water - need to keep hydrated!)

Mini Challenge - Dizneeee’s World of Books
favorite genre, favorite book within that genre, and your favorite character from the same genre.
I think my favourite genre would have to be YA Contemporary. I love reading them!
My favourite book from this genre would be Amy & Roger's Epic Detour. And my favourite character from this genre would have to be Étienne St.Clair :) ♥

ReplyDeleteYay :)
Delete*settles in and waits for your Onyx/Opal updates*
ReplyDeleteAhaha! :)
DeleteMore brilliant books! I LOVE Pushing the Limits and really enjoyed What's Left of Me. I read and really enjoyed Obsidian - I still have to get on to the rest of the series! Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read them! OMG! You have to get on to the rest of the series. I just finished Onyx, and holy crap!
DeleteThanks :)
641 PAGES!!! Wow that's really an accomplishment, I didn't even read that many in the whole 3 days LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat answers for Diznee's Challenge, I love road trip books. Check out Two Way Street and Right of Way by Lauren Barnholdt. How my summer went up in flames by Jennifer S Doktorski seems to also be an awesome road trip book and last but not least which I absolutely loved, loved, loved was Saving June by Hannah Harrington.
Enjoy and hope you get through all your goals! What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang was an awesome book and I really enjoyed it.
My #OUReadathon
I spent nearly all of Monday reading. I got so hooked on the Lux series that I just couldn't put the books down!
DeleteI'll definitely make sure I check them all out and keep a note of them so that I remember to look them up :)
Thanks! I really enjoyed What's Left of Me.
Good answers for the genre questions! I am loving YA Contemporary these days! Amy & Roger's Epic Detour was...epic! I loved it!
